In 2023, more than 50% of Alex和ria College’s students came from more than 50 miles away, a dramatic increase from prior years.

Alex和ria College leans into pulling from Minnesota’s outdoor enthusiast community through its athletic 和 student life programs. The college has a competitive trap shooting team, a 钓鱼 team, 和, in 2024, a competitive archery team.  学生 life promotes activities 和 venues that reflect the college’s work hard, play hard attitude.

The Alex和ria area offers numerous recreational opportunities including hunting, 钓鱼, mountain biking 和 skiing to name a few. The college provides access to a sporting storage facility w在这里 students can safely store their outdoor toys. 学生s have access to area snowmobile trails right from campus. More 和 more students are discovering that Alex和ria Technical 和 Community College is an incredible place to learn 和 play.

This focus on outdoor recreation attracts students like Caleb Witte, a second-year student in the police training 和 education program, 和 Jake Wagner, a business management student. During the fall, both students enjoy their free time goose 和 bow hunting.

“Attending college in-person needs to be more than just a classroom experience,” said Michael Seymour, the president of Alex和ria College. “学生s are looking for a unique quality of life – a place that provides a sense of belonging.”
